Of course, if City win the League Cup, then it also means that sixth place in the league becomes a Europa League spot. If two CL qualified teams contest the FA Cup final, then 7th is good enough for a place.

giving the rags an EL place seems a good deal if we win the FA cup

Breaking: United have made their move for Mata. Across BBC shortly...

Screw Jose and the Chavs, short termism at its worst, for a few million quid which will hardly make a difference to them, giving United the foundation to build their revival on a proven top clas sprem player who will lift the squad

Nah it makes sense for Chelsea if its big money. They don't want Mata and it funds a big striker purchase plus it boosts ManU for the title run in against us and Arsenal.

They won't be short of big money suitors for Mata if they were just patient, but then patience and Chelsea are seldom found in the same sentence, unless it's preceded by the words 'fuck all'.

He'd be cup-tied but I doubt that it will be a problem anyway.

Oh to be a fly on the wall of Uncle Malc's house when they all get together.
Are you sticking to he isnt signing then mate?
You never know but I'm convinced this is payback for the rags stringing Chelsea along over Rooney both last summer and in 2010.

On the transfer news thread on MEN it says that Chelsea have made another attempt to sign Rooney. It’s says that u****d have once again turned the (£30million) bid down.
I wonder if Chelsea were happy to let the Mata deal progress thinking that they would then put in another bid for rooney which the rags would be under pressure to accept to prevent the Mata deal from going bad.
My own view is that Mata will sign for the red shite but there does appear to be some legs to the suggestion that mourinho could just be dicking with them.

Ok, well why do you think they are desperate for it to happen? And whilst we're at it, why would a transfer of the magnitude of Falcao to us not have them chomping at the bit to get their satellite vans to our stadium quicker than you can say 'agenda'? It would be the same if Liverpool bought someone of that significance, they would fuck the Mata story off at the drop of a hat, because there would be bigger fish to fry, another set of fans to report to and a chance for White to cream himself.

They are desperate for it to happen because they are a rag infested channel with a rag fucking agenda.

Zinedine fucking Cleverly was the latest attempt at keeping the ***** in the news yesterday with his rent a quotes about how they are still in it and a danger blah blah blah.

They play to their audience which is millions of fucking armchair rags whose season tickets are their monthly subscriptions.

Deep in the shit with a fucking charlatan of a manager yet they carry on with their everything is fine at the swamp crap.

Would it be that way if it was us and Pellegrini falling flat on our arses? Would it fuck! They would be out for blood as well you know it.

I personally couldn't give a rats arse about their biased, agenda driven coverage but i cant be arse having to read crap on here trying desperately to defend it every day mate.

Its your party piece mate, i get that but fuck me it gets boring, sorry ;-)

spot on.
