I know some of you have a hardon for Di Maria but I'm still not convinced--never was. He strikes me as someone who thrives in a supporting role, but not as being THE stud. I can't imagine him for example carrying United into Europe. It'll be Rooney if they end up making it.

Too bad about RVP's injury because now Van Gaal might find a better formation for them. How long is Carrick out?

Yeah, I said that when they sign him. It's easy for him to be man of the match when the opposition are focusing on keeping Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema quiet, but he doesn't quite have the class to deal with being the main man. He'd be great for us though.
