As Ancoats said, they've completely and utterly missed the point of that poster. Tevez was a great player for them and he turned his back on them and joined us which ruffled their feathers to begin with, but then we made the poster to really drive the point home and annoy them even more.
Who is Van Gaal to us? He's no-one. He's never been involved with anything to do with City. He's just another two-bit rag affiliate being bigged up by media and scum alike, the poster means absolutely nothing to us, it doesn't anger us, it doesn't irritate us, all it achieves is getting us to look on with the sort of bemused curiosity a parent has when a child says he's concocting a big plan.
United, however, have a huge issue this year with Van Gaal, he needs to deliver them a trophy, and a worthwhile one at that. He has the team and the propensity to deliver this and with no Europe this year they're bound to get at least one trophy. But there's nowhere for them to hide if he doesn't, if he doesn't win he can't blame the lack of spending, he can't blame City trying to buy the league, he can't blame a clustered schedule. In fact not just Van Gaal but every single United fan has a big problem if they don't clamber their way back into the top four.
So make no mistake Gentlemen, this bragging and pure unadulterated arrogance isn't their old cocksure arrogance, it's a new fearful and pleading arrogance. And if there's any justice in the world it won't be met with a return to the top.
