the rags have just broken another transfer record , they have spent £240m in a calendar year , which beats Madrids previous best of £220m in 2011 , now i can relate to madrid , because they have always taken the galactico route , they dont pretend to be anything else , But rags banging on about there youth policy/academy etc etc , whilst paying 4 strikers a combined total of £1m a week in wages and then shipping out "fergies fledglings"cleverley and welbeck , is pure comedy gold.

Heard them say Herrera was bought @£29M today. The lad's good but like their other purchases that is too much £. Why not bring some youth up? Oh yEah, their Academy is shit!

I managed to avoid most of the game once it was apparent the most obvious outcome was happening.
Was QPR really going to give them a game...especially with Wio in the heart of the defence.

Having seen the goals, I can't help thinking that the defence of QPR stood off way too much.
The first goal was great delivery from a free kick, but the 2nd and 3rd were awful goals from a defensive point of view...free shots from the edge of the area..And there was more than a touch of fortune about the 4th.

So is this the great comeback....(yes I believe they are into second favourites to even win the champions league.)

Or

Is it a false dawn (a bit like when Bryan Riggs beat Norwich 4-0).

No, I don't think it's a false dawn, and today's win will give confidence to them that was very much needed, and will likely see them nudge towards the outer reaches of champs league qualification....there appeared to be decent pace about their play.
BUT...., this was QPR...and they are shit, so no need to panic just yet...

Their defence which has been crap all year wasn't tested...and even then they tried to give QPR a goal...

But their real top 4 aspirations will be tested later....however their bad start means they have already dropped 8 points against poor opposition....

Thing is this Ushited Way and Youth Policy bollocks has been droned on about for years and it has never been true since the Class(less) of 92 came through - since then the odd player got through ( several of whom started elsewhere and miraculously became rag youth products ) only to be shipped out in favour of big money buys - even GPC did it FFS

4 articles with Di Maria in title on top of Daily Mail. And another 5 Rags related on home page.

Boy, and then they ask me why I hate that pile of shit.
Just like when Ozil arrived last year and Sanchez this year. The English media are really desperate to try and maintain the fantasy that the worlds top players play in England, so hype big money signings beyond all recognition (when they move to certain clubs of course!). They've been in real overcompensating mode these past two years though to try and erase the fact that Bale and Suarez left "the greatest league in the world".
