He's a good player mate, I'm happy to see him on the bench tbh as if used correctly he could be very influential.
Fortunately the management at that club seem to be on magic mushrooms and instead try and shoehorn random players in random positions meaning there's no cohesion, just a shambles that relies on OG's and stuffy deflections as well as shithouse refs afraid to award penalties.
That'll only get them so far though. They will come unstuck against the better teams and they'll be fighting it out for top 4 again.

Yup, couple of adequate games and Smalling's now up there with the greats. He was dogshite until back half of last season and still can't distribute to save his life, but none of that matters. You'd have to go some to look remotely bad against the mighty Villa's attacking force.
