I've only seen Depay a couple of times but to suggest he is anywhere near one of the best young players in Europe at the moment is absurd - a suggestion in fact, which is only being made because of who he plays for

It's the same if your English and play for them, automatically in the England squad. As soon as they join they get called up and if/when they leave, never get called up again

er.... coz he is a rag playing at the swamp? I mean ffs they disallowed a rag goal for offside - that lino is already en-route to a Siberian salt mine
The TT and the rag loving media are saying United were robbed because Rooney was only just offside. Funnily enough there's no comment about an excellent call by the linesman. YCNMIU.

Where is Macheda these days? Remember his two goal sub performance against Villa?

It is true that the rags are still seen as the flagship of the premier league, regarding marketing the product abroad.
This is changing though. Sky, BT and terrestrial channels, whenever possible, like to show them at home to a bottom half of the table side or away to a side that they haven't lost to in decades.
The sty is no longer the fortress it used to be though. What good is it to showcase the supposed standard bearers of the premier league losing at home or dropping points against "inferior" opposition?
The media in general are desperate to keep them up there but the time is drawing near where it becomes detrimental to the cause. The global image of our league is actually being harmed by their tepid and mind numbing displays.
Even the least educated kid in Singapore with fifa on his laptop will start to wonder why shrek is so highly rated on his game, yet utter dogshit in reality.
There comes a point when the game is up. Time to move on. Nobody will fall for the guff about world stars turning up and nobody will get up in the middle of the night in the far east ,just to watch them play like the rose and crown again.
There'll just be empty promises.

And seats.

Lots of them.
