I think we'll beat them anyway but this could mean another hammering.
If they don't get results against PSV and Wolfsburg in the games before Moscow then even better for us. If they have 6 points in the bag from the first two games they may be tempted to play a weaker team against CSKA.

What gets me is how all the pundits are expecting them to walk the group without any consideration of how poor they have been.
Granted, they have the weakest team from pot 1 (stuffy as usual) but each team in that group are no mugs.
It's like they are a completely different team new they've beaten an injury hit championship level team.
But let the delusion long continue as it will only get worse.

Fc cluj used to take these no marks apart when the piss can was in charge and they were in much better shape then. This season will be a wake up call for the raggies about where they are in the footballing land scape. They thought Moyes was a blip and a change of manager and chucking money at the situation would get them back to competing at the very top. They are at least 3 seasons behind us on squad development. Next time they will be level on points with us will be next August when the season kicks off again.

Tbh it's no different to all the 'experts' announcing that the favourites for this year's title are Chelsea, Arsenal and the scum, with City missing out on the CL places even. They are not basing it on squads, previous season's form or signings but on blind faith in their hope that we fail. This bloke has won two league titles this century. One with AZ and one with those German minnows Bayern. To give these 'achievements' some context Felix Magath won it with Munich and Steve McLaren won the Dutch title a year or two after him. He has riven dissent wherever he has been and I think the result against Bruges was just what was needed. Rooney back to his world class best and Van Gaal safely ensconced in his seat. Perfect....
