Red Cafe can be a good forum at times but to any lurking Rags from over there - it doesn't just start and stop at James Gibson you stupid twats. There was John Henry Davies before him who bailed you fuckers out - all because he found Harry Stafford's dog. And if that's not all, there were numerous times we bailed you out too, all the way back to your Newton Heath days when you were on your fucking arse and held a bazaar to raise funds which ironically saw MCFC making a donation. More importantly, you came crying to us to lobby the football league and get Manchester Central booted out because they were getting bigger crowds than you lot and you were fucking shitting it that they'd drive you out of business. If it wasn't for us, your club wouldn't fucking exist so stick that in your poxy Bluemoon meltdown thread you ungrateful cunts and just remember that you're forever in our debt.
As for the attendance bollocks - so what if you hold the league record at Maine Road. We hold the overall record in our ground. Unlike you lot who don't even hold the attendance record at Old Trafford - that honour goes to Wolves and Grimsby.
P.S: I'm just off to sort my digs for our game in Seville - you lurking twats should try and attend a football match sometime rather than being permanently attached to your fucking armchairs and Sky remote.....
Well said mate. Let it not be forgotten that their rise to dominance in the modern era was substantively down to them loading the footballing dice in their favour in the early 80's - along with Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and Everton. It's no coincidence that once clubs got to keep their entire home gate receipts those clubs were significant beneficiaries, at the expense of other clubs, as was the intention, of course. Those clubs' threat of a breakaway at the time if they didn't get what they wanted wasn't designed with the wider interests of football at heart. It gave them, and us it should be said, a competitive advantage over smaller clubs, which inevitably translated itself onto the pitch.
It broke a collective agreement that had been in place since the reign of Queen Victoria and started a series of moves, which united were once again at the vanguard of, to concentrate more and more power and wealth at the top of the game.
united fans pontificating about the club 'earning their own money' and 'doing things the right way' conspicuously and conveniently ignores the calculated and systematic machinations that delivered their club's preeminence. Financial doping, if you will.
Greed, self-interest, cunning and duplicity are the embodiment of the united way. That, and peeping under ladies toilet cubicles whilst they're taking a shit, of course.
Can't make Seville mate as I'm in South East Asia at the time, but let me know if you're going to Juve :-)
