To be fair the rags may have a clause to pay an extra £20 million if they win the league in the next 5 years, they are never going to have to pay it are they :)

So after spending upwards of 350m+ why arent they being touted to challenge for the title ? TiT and co are getting an easy ride from the media

i agree completely, for the money they have spent they should be challenging on all fronts but they will be lucky to get to a semi final or the top 4. What pisses me off is how they keep quoting a net spend of zero this season. As if they are doing thinks the right way. In truth it is only so low as they sold the flop that was Di Maria. i just hope the figure quoted for this guy from Monaco is accurate :)

I know it's not football manager and there's always potential pitfalls to every transfer but I'm sure most of us on here could put together a pretty good team for 350 million.
Put it this way, do you think that if the board at Bournemouth told the manager that was his budget, do you think they'd not only survive but do well?
