That means the playoff games against Brugge cant have happend.. blimey did I dream it..Ballbag just said the rags finished. 3rd last season, hmmm
As with Mancini, you can get away with being a complete dick if you're winning things. But he's won nothing with them yet after spending a lot of money so he isn't going to get away with it for too long. But as I've said before, you're looking at it from a fan's point of view, where winning things is the ultimate objective. The Glazers won't be bothered so much about winning things as long as the money keeps rolling in. In fact they'd prefer to spend as little as possible so 3rd or 4th will suit them fine. It's the beginning of AN end, but I doubt it's the beginning of THE end. United are too rich, too influential, too well supported, to fall far from the upper echelons. In fact I doubt they'll have another "Moyes" season for a fair while. Equally I don't see them winning the title until someone behind the scenes either changes the philosophy (that philosophy being "fourth will do") or employs a Director of Football who has a clear, concise plan for how the club will approach the on field side of things.
Van Gaal si 1,000 times worse than Ferguson, as far as his dictatorial style goes. Ferguson wanted things his way, and was ruthless in getting what he wanted. He was a selfish, opinionated, callous man, however there's enough people he worked with/around who say nice things about him for me to believe he had his good qualities. He nurtured youth players, he gained the respect and loyalty of many players. Van Gaal seems to have none of Ferguson's "people skills" and all of his "my opinion is the only one that matters" attitude. Van Gaal will be a (comparative) failure at United. He'll not win the title with them, he'll not be able to build a coherent side, and he'll be gone in 12 to 24 months.
It's an utterly fucking damning indictment of the sporting press in this country that he's felt compelled to do that, when you compare the way the Sterling fee has been routinely reported as. That degree of inconsistency should be staggering, but it's sadly all too predictable. It is Monaco's vice-president who is promising to provide the proof.
He has rung into Canal Plus live on air and called the British press liars and will release the documents if they do not start quoting the correct figures.
You know me, GDM, I never miss a chance to shoe-horn a reference in if possible.Gratifying to see you're keeping the spirit of LMC alive for the middle-aged amongst us, BTP.
Monaco's vice president in proving Agenda shocker !!It's an utterly fucking damning indictment of the sporting press in this country that he's felt compelled to do that, when you compare the way the Sterling fee has been routinely reported as. I need to refer you to the thread formerly known as 'agenda'.It's an utterly fucking damning indictment of the sporting press in this country that he's felt compelled to do that, when you compare the way the Sterling fee has been routinely reported as.
