We have 18 outfield players (if Wilson goes out on loan) - 20 if you include Pereira and Lingard.

It's all well and good getting rid of "deadwood" but not at the expense of barely having enough players to fill a squad.

A few injuries and we're totally f*cked.

At the end of the day ... The rags are now stuck with a player in his final year who clearly won't play a part in their season due to a falling out with TT who they will lose on a free next year on a free. The thing that makes it all the sweeter is he was there best player last year who dragged them to CL and now they're stuck with someone they got on a free who wasn't deemed good enough to be offered a contract by Sampdoria

James Cooper backtracking now and playing the 'why didn't Madrid sign him earlier then' after finding out it could have been Uniteds fault that the deal fell through.

Obviously because united were quoting silly fucking numbers at them and only came back with something even approaching sensible on the final day. Madrid seemed perfectly happy to sit this one out til next summer until the rags came knocking yesterday.
