Have nothing but contempt for these horrible fuckers, Vile arrogant club and I have nothing but hatred. The banner they pulled on us, the lack of gratitude for giving them a home after the war. Hope they liquidate. We've left them behind, and they're now adopting the policy they've criticised us for.

£420m squad,
£300m spent in 12 months
4 Competitions to play, including a CL group they should progress through

and yet:
  • 1 Senior striker.
  • 1 injury to Smalling away from a CB partnership of Rojo-Blind or McNair-Blind or Carrick-Blind (you know Jones will be injured)
  • De Gea unhappy, Valdes unhappy, Romero shite
  • 19 outfield players - 3 of which are McNair, Wilson, and Martial, who no-one has any idea how he will take to PL football. - 6 of which have persistent injury concerns.
If Liverpool get their act together...

This is a rather pedantic argument, but your Sterling deal WAS £49m. It was probably more with add ons, like most deals are these days. The reason why this raised so many eyebrows was because he is 20 years old, has only had one stand out season for Liverpool and no other clubs were bidding for him. I'm not saying that the £36m for Martial was a masterstroke either. Kevin De Bruyne signed for City because you offered 25 million more that Bayern Munich wanted to pay. 104 million could buy you the entire Swansea starting line up 3 times, or 17 Vincent Kompany's. I don't think you covered yourselves in any glory either.

So you agree that we're going to win 3 league titles and the Champions League in the next 5 years then~?

I'm also in the camp of wanting nothing less than United going out of business / demoted out of the league and The Swamp being demolished

LOL I saw that quote, to be fair its a spot on post. And he got slaughtered for it.

He did indeed. Of course, I'm sure a small number of their members would've heard of Martial but the vast majority wouldn't. The amount of revisionism that's going on over there over this signing is utterly laughable. Nothing wrong with supporting the player when he pulls on a United shirt of course but swallowing all that shit the Trafford Ministry Of Truth is peddling about nicking him from under the noses of Europe's top clubs and the Ballon D'or clause is beyond belief. Of course, he could turn out to be world class but for the fee they've paid that should be a given - anything less and he's a flop, simple as.

your right this is a pedantic argument, it is after all only money

so to cut to the chase,

Sterling (golden Boy 2014) 16 international caps 1 goal, 1st team appearances 99, goals 19 goals
De Bruyne (German player of the year 2015) 33 international caps 8 goals. 1st team appearances 184, goals 39

Hahaha the golden boy! Did he get a badge and a certificate for that??? You are all failing to acknowledge that Sterling did nothing last season, and no other clubs came in for him. The fee you paid was ridiculous. De Bruyne has had one decent season in the Bundesliga, but never made the grade in the PL for Chelsea. They sold him for £18m in 2014. And his one inspired season occurred when Bayern's only threat (Dortmund) decided to have a sabbatical. Lets see how he fares in his second attempt at the PL.

Must be the biggest camp in world football! I would prefer to wake up one morning to find they no longer exist - no fatalities, no redundancies, no bankruptices, but just gone - and perhaps an American-style shopping mall on the footprint.
