Horrible looking injury and psychologically tough, but probably not as bad long term as torn knee ligaments (generally, but obviously there are sometimes complications). Should be back and good as new by the end of the season, tough on the lad in the mean time though

He tends to try barge through defenses and ends up getting injured a lot. Bit like the de Jong tackle wasn't a red for me he caught his studs in the turf and was taken out by his trailing leg. But hope he can recover. Thought utd were poor, shallyman Says 17 shots but 5 were on target and can't remember the keeper pulling off any good saves or goal line clearances. Mata missed a sitter but psv were clean through numerous times. Darmian was poor and neglected his defensive duties, depay did nothing but his goal, martial looked a raw 19 year old and pig botherer got ran past several times. Big big problems for them especially as young or blind are gonna have to play left back now!!!

I feel really sorry for Shaw. He had a pretty torrid first season but seemed to be playing very well for United and England this time round. It sounds like a season ending injury to me so he's probably out of the Euros. I hope that he makes a full recovery and it doesn't limit what he can achieve in the rest of his career.
Well said, mate.

He was running into some good firm. Shame for the lad. Hopefully he'll be okay in the long term.

He was on the portly side before getting injured. He'll be fatter than Neville Southall when he gets back.

They were wank tonight but I bet our loss will mean the fuckers will get away from a kicking.

Whilst the challenge on Shaw was rash/clumsy the actual impact didn't look anywhere near severe enough to break his leg, Shaws leg just seem to brush over the outstretched leg of the defender, very unlucky.
