We need to stop quoting 85 million (or whatever) for this unknown kid. To achieve that a number of things need to happen, one of the important clauses to get the full amount is (according to the Daily Mail) that he has to be voted European Footballer of the Year.

The only explanation for all of this has to be the SNUB factor. No bastard wants to play for LVG.

I am sure this is the case. Players talk to one another. It was said earlier that Herrera talked some Spaniards out of coming, and I am sure Valdes would have done the same. TT's reputation for treating players like dirt and staff like servants gets around.

Whenever City buy a player it's always quoted as initial fee + bonuses combined. Gotta be consistent, so if Monaco do come out and prove that it was €70m + €10m bonuses I'll happily quote €80m.
