Atkinsons performance was nothing short of a disgrace. How many yellow offenses did he simply refuse to card Utd players. There was blatant diving, one where Young pulled the player back when he broke away and some players like Herero who should have been carded for persistent fouling alone, then the red Rooney got away with again. You watch next time we have him, we will get yellows for much less. Will be swept under the carpet again no doubt but a biased performance from him yesterday

We used to talk about the parallels between Busby & Baconface, never really imagining that they would regress in much the same way. I can't imagine they'll get relegated as they were in 1974 but it's going to be some job to rebuild that side and could take a few years.
