I never actually saw that clip of Summerbee's so called "rant" until a few years later. I was at the game that day and first heard about it about an hour after the final whistle when a United supporting mate - one who is normally quite rational - put on his FB status "Fuck off Summerbee you bitter twat" or words to that effect. It was actually quite out of character for him to come out with such colourful language so I assumed from that moment on that Buzzer had gone in to full on mouth-foaming mode and had a total meltdown live on air. It was only when I watched it years later that it couldn't have been any more different to how I'd imagined it. Summerbee articulated his points in a calm and assured manner - he was clearly annoyed that they kept showing Rooney's winning goal over and over on a virtual continuous loop and rightly so. You could accept it being shown a few times but as he said, there were 2 teams out there that day and there was hardly anything between them (in fact, I'd go as far as to say we were looking the more likely winners after our equaliser). Anyway, he was bang on with his prediction that we'd go back there soon and do the business!

The most snide thing that day was the way Sky 'accidentally' posted up the possession stats for the last ten minutes, rather than the whole game, to discredit Buzzer.
Opta said we dominated (if I recall rightly) 55%- 45%. So Buzzer's guess of 60% wasn't all that inaccurate.
To the best if my knowledge, they have never apologised for this error.

It shouldn't come as a surprise. It's always been their modus operandi to ridicule those you speak the truth (ask Keegan and Benitez) in the face of their pro-United propaganda.
 
This thread is going down the pan, very quickly.

We are now 13 and a half hours into a New Year,, and no-one has said it yet. Poor effort, Blues.

I'll have to do it, then.
