As others have said, it is solely to sell papers to the masses. Push the propaganda till the last minute and then print sommat else for maximum paper sales and clicks

They print it because it sells papers and gets them clicks, plus it ensures that they get access to future juicy tit-bits. It's like the Emperor's New Clothes. They're all feeding out of the same trough.

But the interesting thing at the moment is that it seems it's falling apart behind the scenes. As well as the usual "Ronaldo/Bale/Neymar/Guardiola" guff being pumped out by their PR team, there are clearly people (Giggs possibly and/or players) briefing against the Turtle and people higher up briefing against Woodward.
 
In a strange way, this could be an even more amusing season than when "The Chosen One"™ was there. With wee Davey, most people knew he was out of his depth going to a club like them. But LVG has a proven track record at the highest levels. This isn't working out the way I feared it might at all.

lvg strikes me as the sort of character who would deliberately do untold damage there if he thought he was being undermined in any way. The campaign by the media to get him out has begun in earnest. S.O.L.
 
They are dog shit the longer long ball Louis stays the better but I fear he'll be gone sooner than some think if they start to drop out the top 4 i can't see him lasting the season hope he does tho and they come 5th or6th and back to the europa you go!
