Had to read that twice. No wonder they were playing brilliantly starting 14 minutes before the opposition arrived on they pitch. Mind you probably takes Rooney that long to get from the half-way line to the box, even at top speed.

Rather an abstract concept as he won't end up at the swamp anyway. Transfer window opens and they are obliged to be linked with stellar players- they will recall their loanee this window and that will probably be it.

100% correct. I've done the last 4 derby matches at the swamp in the corporate and a few at The Etihad and i agree, the standard at City is out of this world in comparison. I'm in The Legends for the Palace match and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking of trying it.

As @gordondaviesmoustache often references #theunitedway will be a millstone around their necks for the next decade. Here the comparisons with the dippers & the media mythology surrounding the Klanfield boot room is prescient. As per the dippers, the obsession with perpetuating the 'narrative' will continue their downfall into mediocrity, for Souness, Evans read Briggs, Ratboy, crass of 92. I don't think they will snap out of it until both the GPC & the ticket tout are 6 feet under & long gone.
