Just watched the highlights. They really are playing turgid stuff. They are years from being a decent team again and long may their demise continue. Wooney does my head in. That's another world cup winners medal he won last night looking at how he celebrated.

With Rooney it is all about him. He just wants charltons record. Hope he gets in by one goal over 3 and a half years with goals that mean fuck all and they are all penalties. The rags don't even like the player who will be their highest ever goal scorer. Can't blame them like.

Can I get a realistic summary of Martial? Regardless of his lack of goals, I constantly hear that he's an exciting prospect and not just from the rags.

I don't watch their matches often because I'd rather watch my nails grow but, when I have seen them play, he's made Samaras look like Ibrahimovic. And the guy has dived every single time I've seen him play despite being told multiple times that he's strong and can hold off a challenge; a bit like Drogba but without the talent.

Is that the same Drogba who played for Le Mans and Guingamp until he was 25?

Apologies that my omission of the word 'both' confused you :-)

Drogba was a late developer; Martial palpably isn't. Your example was incongruous.

Aye, it doesn't take much.

If Martial isn't a late developer, I'd be trying to get as much of that transfer fee back as I could.

I think you're getting too focused on the Drogba comparison here seeing as that was about one very basic aspect of his game.

Looks a good player from what I've seen of him. But how much did they pay for him again?

After Manchester United's 1-0 victory over Sheffield United courtesy of a penalty deep into injury time, Manchester United's Bastian Schweinsteiger tweeted:
"It's always important to fight until the very end!"

It's also important to cheat until the very end.

Yep, I spotted that as well. Vinny needs to send him a Tweet letting him know it's the Manc club who use that phrase.
