First there was Gollum, and now another character from Lord of the Rings shows up who's connected with Utd.

Just goes to show that even celebrities (well . . . semi-celebrities) can be as deluded, clueless, arrogant and thoughtless as so many average fans of that lot.

(Don't let the video title fool you -- he has nothing but contempt for City).

Started watching them in the mid to late seventies when they were much better than us? That's not as I remember it.
Was like listening to a run down of Daily Mail comments re history, empty seats, big club, style. What a ****. No original thought.

Guardiola's overrated. Even Moyes could have managed Barcelona and Bayern to success.

I couldn't watch more than 30seconds. Seemed like he was trying to get as many cliches in a possible ie empty seats, Premier League trophies etc

Sounds like a Liverpool fan, and it's that 'they'll never be as good as us' attitude that will do for them

Oh dear oh dear - tired cliche ridden comments as per - Pep taking the easy option. Pep chasing the money to spend ( yeah coz the rags have spent fuck all under van Gaal ) Pep is overrated. They also believe that they DIDN'T try to attract Pep but should have done so. And they want Jose - meet the new boss. Same as the old boss. The only rational head is the lad Sam towards the end who accepts how much we have set up for the future.

Gonna be a fun bitter ride for a while yet I am pleased to say.

oh and ps - the presenters claim that the two great teams Pep "inherited" were in fact set up for him by van Gaal - priceless - you cannot make this shite up.

They're not happy....

There's a lad on that video, called Sam around 5 minutes in who actually talked a lot of sense, couldn't believe my ears! Fair play, was refreshing to hear someone not come out with the same old tired cliche's regardless of how much he was being egged on to by the interviewer.

Most of them can't see the wood for the trees, they're stuck in 1999 and long may it continue.

He was talking sense.

Yet the interviewer still got his "mercenaries" jibe in at the end. They should call that place the theatre of dreamland.

He must have started supporting them in the womb if that's the case. He wasn't born till the end of 1976.

Not to mention the fact that his statement was a load of bollocks anyway – we finished above them every season bar 2 (I think) in the 70's – we only narrowly missed winning the league in 1977, and they were fucking relegated for a season!

Spanish press at it again, apparently Pep nearly turned us down because he couldn't stomach the thought of Mourinho at united.

Thnk the empty seat talk will end with them confirming that after scrapping compulsory tickets, reducing them by 25%,they are not opening the third tier of the GPC stand and are expecting a crowd of 55,000ish,which in reality will be about 40.000

Spot on about the crap he spouted regarding the seventies. I have no idea who this guy is but it was actually funny to see how he manages to include all the usual digs at City during the interview....he was actually a rather sad and pathetic individual. You could also tell he was panicking about City's rise in the football world...they just can't seem to deal with it and put on this show of arrogance to try and cover up their fears.

The signing of Guardiola has finished a lot of them off...it is just such a big statement of intent and the one thing that United fans were absolutely dreading and praying would not happen. I cannot get the smile off my face...hahaha!!.

Why can't he say Bobby Charlton's name either

Is it like actors not saying Macbeth

In all fairness, we were missing Benjani & Vassell, how we supposed to sell tickets without them two??

We don't claim to have one tenth of the World's population as our fan base.

We don't hold on to the odd empty seat as some sort of trophy.

It will be really interesting to see how many turn up and how it's reported.

I totally agree. Glad someone came back with that answer.
