I don't think the media or any fans would give any club stick for discounting tickets for EL games. You were getting stick as you were putting CL tickets on general sale & offering BOGOF deals. This was for games against Barcelona & Bayen along with other top sides. I'm pretty sure there were plenty of tickets available for £5 at many student unions too.

I think you mean CSKA and the likes of Plzen and Monchengladbach.

Never the less, you laugh at our support churning out £55 a week or more to watch top of the league level and CL football whilst we build a larger fan base, whilst I laugh at you watching dross and the EL.

You can choose not to believe. Knowing what we know about SAF & the press not one journo out there would dare put up false stories about his Utd business dealings. You only have to look at what happened to the BBC when they made false allegations.

This out pouring of anger from the rags over the imminent appointment of Pep is making me chuckle, they really aren't comfortable in their skin anymore and what it means for them as a club.

I'd compare the rag mind set to and old washed up porn star with erectile disfunction. Used to fuck all the the birds back in the day but now can't do the job, however spends his time reminding everyone how big his dick is and how many birds he used to fuck.

It's going to be a painful few years for them the structure of the club was fixed in a way it would only work with the old piss can in charge. Let them point out how many empty seats we might have had in a league cup game, having a stadium full of over seas tourist and southerners doesn't put 3 points on the board.

The hypocrisy and rewriting of history in a way it shows their club in a better light than it really is is breath taking.

I often think of them as the once famous 'celeb' who has fallen on hard times from a fondness for the bottle ( quite an obvious simile) , who now turns up at parties and ceremonies to which they haven't been invited, in crumpled clothes, smelling of old sweat and booze, telling everyone who will listen how big and famous they used to be before "shome other bashtardsh" ruined it for them ( always other people's fault) while others look on and say "didn't that used to be whatsisname"?
