This won't be a popular view on here but who the fuck are we to point the finger at a club when our kit manufacturers is Nike?

I'm no expert in Nike's ethics but from what I saw in my travels around Asia and what I've read/watched online, I'm certain a lot of the mcfc tat that's sold to us is probably produced in these
sweatshops.

But I'm an ethical auditor, with 30yrs experience in China and much of SE Asia and can tell you that Nike ethical code of practice is one of the most robust. Many years ago things were different.

The RAG fans will regret treating Ryan Giggs like shit and will be begging for his calm, managerial presence to steady the ship (and bring back "the United way") once Mourinho goes bat crazy. Everything is about Jose and he comes with a lot of baggage (especially this Eva Carneiro stuff still ongoing).

Looks like Van Gaal will be the last one to found out he's getting the sack at the end of the season. Pretty classless actually. If the club had any dignity they'd follow our example, let Van Gaal announce he's leaving and THEN announce Jose is taking over. Simple.

If I was in charge I'd give Giggs the job for the remainder of the season, and see how he does as I wouldn't touch Jose with a bargepole.. yeah there will be an initial razzmatazz of glamour/hype when he gets appointed but he will get tedious fast with his off the field shenanigans especially since the RAG's need like 10 new players before they can compete with Europe's finest it isn't a managerial problem so that will cause frustration/outbursts.. he looks like a man burnt out to me and fell out of love with football. Too much cons then pros with Jose these days, he's damaged goods and that ship has sailed.

The important thing is the RAG's have sold their soul for a short-term fix.. something they apparently would never do.

By the way the RAG's are celebrating thinking Jose will have a massive "war chest" of money to spend (which he has needed at every club he's managed in his career) sign them Top top players, but which top players are these who are available? most of the Madrid players hated him ! and Hazard and the top players at Chelsea did. Mata did..

I don't think he's a manager top players will be queuing up to play for in the same way they will for Pep, as footballers will enjoy playing in Pep's fluid attacking system and expressing themselves.

You can't blame the media for getting giddy about Mourinho potentially going to the rags. Their favourite manager and their favourite club will be slugging it out against the their favourite whipping boys with the best manager in the world. There's already a history and bad blood between both clubs and managers. Pep's City vs Mourinho's rags would be a dream come true for the cockroaches of fleet street.

What a load of bollocks, there is no way a club like the rags would be negotiating with another manager while the current manager is in place, When Hughes was sacked and replaced with Bobbie within hours I clearly remember being told by numerous rags that it would never be allowed at their club. It just lacks class and "isn't the United way"

United haven't got 'a way' anymore. And it's fucking delightful.

It's funny, because it seems like a reactive move to City getting Guardiola. A lot of their fans (judging by their forums) and indeed their board didn't seem that keen on Mourinho a few weeks ago, but now they're desperately seeing him as the man to take on Guardiola. City calling the tune at Old Trafford, who'd have thought it.

Is there something actually in this or is it along the lines of signing tranny, Messi, Bale etc?

It just seems to be the 'Pep' story all over again to me.

Just being neutral for a second, the level of press interest in M/cr next year would be unbelievable. The world's premier football city?

It certainly up there. I'm torn between the publicity having two strong teams would bring for my city and my lifetime wish of seeing the rags to decline further. In fact I'm not, City can bring all the publicity Manchester needs and they're not even from Manchester so terminal decline it is!

100 per cent deluded cunts on rag cafe, have you read some of the tosh posted on there? They now have a Neymar Mourinho vs Aguero Guardiola thread. They could appoint Jose sign a player like Neymar and still look ordinary, look what Jose has done to hazard.

Every time I go on there, which is only if I'm signposted from here, I actually find them very rational in the main. Anyway the ticket tout has already said Mourinho is not the right character for United so it's not going to happen is it?

Does he hold much sway anymore at old Trafford or is he more ambassadorial these days? I don't think his opinion would count for much, if he had reservations about how Jose conducts himself why do they look the other way to family man Ryan's exploits?

Probably because Bryan Briggs is a scum legend.

Mourinho is perfect for that lot. An obnoxious character for an obnoxious Club. The natural successor to Sir Furious.

They said that's not " 'the united way"'
It is, it is,
They said that's not the not the way we play,
It is, it is,
They sacked, moysey, giggs and van gaal too,
But guardiola's joined the blues,
José Mourinho, united manager
