Turmoil in global stock markets, combined with poor form on the pitch, has wiped $500 million (£345 million) off Manchester United’s value this year.

The football club's New York-listed shares have slumped 18.5 per cent from $17.88 at the end of 2015 to $14.52, dragging United’s value to below $2.4 billion (£1.6 billion).

Rivals Manchester City were valued at $3 billion (£2 billion) in December when they sold a 13 per cent stake to Chinese investors for £265 million.

Gutted.
Nice to see, and normally I'd revel in it, but that shite yesterday has pissed me off.......hopefully Chelsea will do the business today.

I hope the Portuguese shithouse does go there. He's blown his aura of invincibility and even the swamp politburo won't be able to put a positive spin on the shitstorms that follow him round. And if the rags think turtles team play shit football now.....

DiMarzio is saying they're looking at bringing in Atletico's sporting director, who you'd probably have to consider one of the best in the world considering his budget compared to the other big clubs.

Premier League is going to be so tough going forward.

Louis Van Gaal is completely undermined now for the rest of the season.. feel sorry for the bloke really, as doubt he knows the backstabbing behind his back..

Would've been better for all involved to announce Van Gaal is leaving at the end of the season, to try to control the speculation atleast.

Glazer's love a man who can "work with a budget" ;)

Just seen that stock market stuff. That seems like a bloody large chunk of cash to me. Will they not be arsed about this and be cool or is this panic stations ?

These money men will know all about Utd's future financial plans and stuff right and i assume can see some writing on a few walls or something or ?

Lots of reports in Portugal that they are going to pay a staggering €60m for Renato Sanches of Benfica. He's a fantastic young midfielder, but he's only 18 and only played half a season of football, it's a mental amount of money to throw at him. He's not a very Mourinho type player either

When do season ticket renewals start at the swamp?

Quoted as " the brand " .......................................ie nothing about football which is what has been the truth since the greedy f*ckers decided to float on the market .

I couldn't feel sorry for any f*cker who agrees to take up the reigns at that odious dump !

Power to the deluded tw*t, and may he continue to bore the ar*e of those f*ckwits and keep the Rags outside the top 4 .

He's hardly a season ticket selling player though is he? I doubt most people even know who he is

What are you talking about ? 659 million football experts all know him !

He's obviously the next best thing to come out of a continuous production line of " world class footballers " bred specially for the " greatest team in the World " ..................just like Martial !

Just seen lvg's postmatch interview. Could someone explain that the 6 minutes of added time is a minimum. Chelski scored in stoppage time therefore more than 6mins played. What a gobshite.

Yes their knock off shirts all around the world and their glory hunting twats are the only pulling factor now that bacon face and a chance for trophies have gone.
