It has helped us in recent years too. Cups are all about a bit of luck.

I'm struggling to remember when we last played a team below Championship level in a domestic cup tie. The rags routinely draw the worst (or nearly so) team left in cup competitions. Brugge, Midtjylland and Shrewsbury this season alone. Cambridge last season. 3 non-league teams in a few years in the first decade of the 2000s too. City drew non-league Wigan in the FA Cup in 1971 but you have to go back way before the war for another non-league opponent. It is the luck of the draw mate but they have way more than their fair share and always have done.

We have had a lot of home draws. Championship level is still shit on the whole.

We hardly had the hardest draws to get to the final this year and against Sunderland.

Not as easy as them but not too difficult.

We were shafted this year in the FA cup with that Chelsea draw but that's the way it goes in cups

Woodward and the Glazers should give a blank cheque book to De Gea and just tell him to write whatever figure he wants to be paid each week, he is the ONLY reason they are anything other than a run of the mill mid table side. He has saved them so many times over the last few years it is embaressing, he is the one player they have who I accept to be world class.

Never in my 22 years have I had a rise out of watching non-City related football games but after seeing Everton absolutely battering them in the 2nd half then all of a sudden that French bug eyed tosser slots it in out of nowhere. I'm ashamed to admit in that split second I went all 2 year old toddler mode and threw my TV remote at the wall, leaving it as broken as I felt a few years ago when I heard Moyes had been given the sack.

***Also goes without saying Real Madrid will you just get that De Gea deal wrapped up for fuck sake. He's the only one preventing them from battling it out for midtable mediocrity with likes of Watford & Stoke.

They can lose the final mate . It can happen . Everybody expects them to win and they'll ride the crest of a wave until it crashes and what a fall that will be . Remember bobby stokes ?
