Well the Insight team thought there was, but it was quietly shelved by the PL. just like the numerous large bets laid at ridiculously high odds.
However your assertion was it was raised by BM posters, mine that it was discussed following an article in a reputable news outlet, which you have now corroborated.

There were a few on here when Leicester won the title despite the fact that all the statistics suggested that they were doing less running than most.

There were indeed. Was it a thread on it or just in the Leicester thread? Either way some were convinced. The simple fact is we have better players and a better manager and hold the ball longer so don't have to run as much.

I have just googled the ST article, there is absolutely nothing to suggest that they thought he was a significant figure at Leicester, quite the opposite. They state that there was no evidence to corroborate any of his statements. The doctor came over as a braggart on the make rather than having any suggestion that he was significantly linked to any clubs. He boasted of supplying players at several clubs, there was nothing to suggest even from him that he was a significant figure.
The speculation and some of the accusations flying around on this site were typical of conspiracy theorists.

The fact of the matter is you made out that the allegations were based on a few conspiracy nut posters on here whereas I say it was a discussion of issues raised from a variety of unrelated legitimate sources, unlike the bullshit tweet from an unknown Manchester United fan in Australia that you are trying to liken it to.
