The number of United "fans" that have said the Carabao Cup is a non competition is farcical

Its what i`ve been saying for a couple of years. You can add the fa cup to that. It`s always nice to pick up a bit of silverware but they dont really carry much financial rewards.
Clubs would prefer to toss them off and concentrate on gaining top 4 CL qualification, Entry into the Europa or for those clubs at the bottom of the prem and top half of the championship, the carrot of prem football is everything.

lol agreed, a bit like me when i saw that tactic vid when he pulled Sterling inside. I must have had a proper dumb look on my face as i absorbed this info, a dumb look a assume Mourinho was wearing to, at least mentally.

Seems learning Peps way teaches many possibilities to allow total football to overcome total defence. Confuse their defensive lineup then chances will appear.
Not sure what attack will confuse a zone marking total defence team but I´m sure Pep is working on it.

Apparently they cant re do the shite stand next to the railway as the dressing room pegs are grade 2 listed historical artefacts.

That's the simplest one, he did it all the time at Bayern against German clubs where zonal marking is pre eminent. You overload the zones on one side of the pitch ie play both wingers and an attacking mid on the same side and either twat them in that zone or quickly switch to whichever zone they vacate to make up the numbers ie bait and switch tactics.

Just noticed a thread on redcafe termed something like ´´Multiple Formations´´ and thought it might be worth a look.
Seems the posters assume that means changing formation to accomadate different teams or simply to change things after 2 or three games. Mostly against this change but some would like it to happen if it brings benefits.

They simply do not get it that the game has moved on from a game to game change and that City change their formation in realtime ie during a single game depending how the opposition are tactically successful. You would have thought that the confusion in their defence when City switched their man marked playmakers would have given them a clue about strategy.

I think JM himself is still blaming his defenders and does not realise what happened in the derby.

Yep, they have no idea, and neither does their 'great' manager.

who knows in 20 years time manchester city and our fans could be just like the united fans are today and moaning and crying about being 2nd in the league still in the champions league and fa cup it must be hard to support a football club in such a mess at this time of the year the glory hunting fuckwitts don't know the meaning of being loyal and the moaning is a joke and no club has the divine right for winning silverware every season and if somebody is better than you just accept don't start chuck your toys out of the pram and just remember how the other clubs fans feel after the glory years at united

if there is one club that is special and truly a football fan base club and not built on glory then manchester city is that club we had to take so much punishment from united and there fans a lifetime of kicking dirt in our face and they say never kick a fellow man when he is down (never a truer word has been spoken)
Fuck me fella, has the 'comma' and 'full stop' fallen off your keyboard!

Oh, good post though.....

What a difference two weeks makes. Two weeks ago the rags had the chance of moving within 5 points of City. Two weeks on and City are 13 points ahead of them. City are racing into the distance in a Ferrari while the rags are choking in our dust cloud as they splutter along in a Fiat Punto. Lovely Jubbly!

I think he's mentioned on several occasions that he is dyslexic and wishes that he could punctuate correctly.

His comments are generally well worth reading when you take that into account.
Ah right, didn't know that.

Thanks ag9320.

Now that all players are accomplished in his methods that strategy can hopefully be a plan b for some of our more determined defensive opponents.
