The only thing I’ll say in mitigation on behalf of Shaw, is that he’s not been the same player since that awful injury. Prior to that, I think he could have made a top attacking full back, in the mould of Walker, with the caveat of him looking after himself physically, as he has a propensity to put weight on.

I agree, and have no issue with Shaw himself, i was trying to point out that the £30 million that the Rags sanctioned to get him was much, much greater in comparison to what we paid for either Walker or Mendy.

God forbid the media pick up on any negativity or faults in his game! Only negativity I’ve heard was Henry when he said Ederson would of been out in a shot and cleared the long ball from Leicester..

De Gae a world class shot stopper wouldn’t swap him for Ederson.
