The whole financial debate really pisses me off.

At the end of the day, to get from where City were 12 years ago, to win the league and maintain a challenge most seasons since.....you have to spend a shitload of money. If you didn't, you wouldn't have broken the original big 4.
I would like to think that this is logical.

So the throw away line of City overspend blah blah is becoming tedious, especially from the special one, how much have they spent in the last 20 years or so?
The fact is, the "rag way", now does not exist...the class of 92 are long gone, and they clearly now have a manager who does not handle pressure particularly well, even if some of it is probably trying to deflect from how shit his team are playing.

Finally, there is how the money is invested, City have definitely spent wisely, and filled in the gaps, that were needed in the team....but,it isn't just that.
It's the infrastructure across the globe that is being put in place, that teams under the wider City umbrella, being taught to play the City way in many different countries and continents, which will be feeder teams for years to come, it's fuckin genius in truth, groundbreaking, the foresight is astounding.

So the whole financial debate is about one thing......the media wanted the original 4 untouchable, their job was easy writing about only 4 clubs, where they were probably on first name terms with most of the staff..... they were the darlings of the premier league.

Well, there is a new team in town, sadly not mine, but a team and fans worthy of success...and by God, you are going to be around for a long time, as it isn't just the current first team performance that is exceptional, it is the building blocks going on behind the scenes for the future, that is even more impressive.

Great post that and thanks.

I don't know why anyone is surprised, or even outraged, by Peggy's outright hypocrisy. Culturally, hypocrisy is no longer a sin, nor something to be criticized for -- it's something to be supported and justified, and for every hypocrite, there's another hypocrite on the opposite end of an argument. Cognitive dissonance is to be celebrated. It's the age of the online forum, a battle of memes, the dissolution of rational discourse. Saying one thing and doing another is a way to get attention. Mourinho fits this age perfectly.

But, see . . . this is what I love about sport. For all of the incessant yammering, there's one undeniable winning argument that cuts through all the horseshit . . .

The S-C-O-R-E-B-O-A-R-D.

Never met a Liverpool fan then?

You really need to be a full on blue sir but respect your masochistic side :-D

Well said that man, many are very reluctant to look at the grand scale and the resilience built in to stand the test of time, indeed improve with it.

So one of my best friends is. And probably the fellow I spend more time chatting with about the sport than anyone. But he's a unique sort. All doom and gloom, always sees the dark side. In fact predicted blowing the three goal lead to Palace during the actual match during their "title-winning" season. I've asked him often if he's sure he has this whole football thing right, given how Liverpool fans are "supposed" to behave, and he admits his family's from north of Leeds and secretly he's hoping for their return to the Prem. :)
