Not sure, I think he finds out this week. He's actually a very talented player but is a complete nob. Fits in well at United!

No doubt the entire immigration policy will be amended or ignored to accommodate the Rags just how the work permit rules were ignored in the past to accommodate Fortune who was denied a work permit at other clubs.

What's the situation with big nose?

Is he out of contract, can't see him sitting on his arse earning nothing crocked or not.

I am confused by the logic, or lack thereof concerning his comments about the transfer market. He seems to be suggesting spending 75 to 90 on Lukaku and 82 to 100 on Pogba and even 160 or what ever on Neymar is ok because they are special players so it doesnt inflate the market. On the other hand spending 20 to 50 does inflate the market and its crazy and out of control.
So if a club buys 10 30mio pound players they are crazy but 2 at 150 is sensible. Im not sure that makes sense. Surely its the latter which will inflate the market more. Furthermore who is to say which player is special.
I would also add he seems to be criticising his own purchase of the 31mio pound Linderof.

All in all clear as mud.

I have been asked what I thought of the Matic deal by a smug United fan. I sniggered and reffered him to my previous answer.

The hypocracy is staggering.

Lol Sky Sports doing a piece on the height of Mourinhos United signings, all big lumps basically bar mickeytarian.

It's a bit difficult to compare transfers at the moment with all the add-ons that may or may not become payable and all the undisclosed deals, but once you take into account Matic, it looks like Utd will have a net spend of around £155m and City's will be around £160m.

City have replaced the full backs, added a keeper and and added Bernardo Silva. The fullbacks and the keeper represent a massive improvement for City. Silva is a luxury given we have David Silva and De Bruyne, but he is a special player that will excite the fans.

Utd meanwhile have exchanged Lukaku for Ibrahimovic and brought in Lindelof and Matic. I did not think Ibrahimovic was that good for Utd last season as although he scored a good number of goals, he was very static and I think he damaged Utd's attacking play. Lukaku will probably score more goals, but there are aspects of his game, such as his hold up play and first touch which are not good. I hope they top it off by buying Perisic. It would be one of the most wasteful transfer spends in history if Mourinho does that.

Utd must be grateful so far that Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool have been relatively inactive as well. I am sure it wont last though.
