Sky keep showing the clip where Matic ran down the right wing ( Vs West Ham) beating 3 players then it stops. The reason being he then loses the ball and spends the next minute hands on hips gasping for breath..
His legs have gone and Chelsea knew it.

Mourice is, if nothing else, pragmatic. The Scum will play boring hugely defensive football all year long.

And this year, they have enough talent that they won't draw nearly so often as they did last year - they'll grind out results and accumulate points.

The Scum are our biggest contenders for the title. The Scum won't slip up - so it's crucial that we don't drop any unnecessary points.

You conclude this after one game?
Any chance you could pm me the lottery numbers for the next few months please

Just seen that clip, is that what really happened after his messi like run came to a halt ?

Which is only useful if he can be moved out of his 30x10m zone. Last season (maybe the one before) he was hopelessly exposed by Spurs when he got dragged wide.

Against the better sides, he won't be wandering forward.

I'm not quite sure his legs have gone, nor do I think that's why Chelsea got rid because Conte certainly didn't want to lose him.

I'm sure Opta had Matic as covering the most ground of all the players (United & West Ham). Considering West Ham were doing a lot of chasing about, that's not a bad statistic for someone who's legs have apparently gone.

How come the rags are at home this weekend? I've never heard of a team having their first two games of the season at home.... and Swansea playing their first two games away? I know teams have done that when their ground isn't ready - but that isn't the case here, is it?
