I see we've had a visitor this afternoon. Welcome Sara. Now if you csre to post a picture of yourself (for perspective, you see?), it would help us to make you feel welcome.
One quote off that thread:-

"After a 4 trillion outlay this is what you'd expect,"

Has the daft fucker looked at their spending since you-know-who retired - all for the sum total of three cups, two of which the rags regarded as "Mickey Mouse Cups" not so long ago.

To be fair you will always get snide comments like that on most fans forums,I was surprised that some actually were full of praise for our front five/six ..

Just like Donald Trump, Rags have their own alternative facts. So they aren't aware of the fact that they even have such a thing as a transfer budget. Sad fucks.

I can't believe fans of a club that have just payed 89m & 90m (conservative guess) for 2 players, have the fucking nerve/cheek
to spout on how others spend money. As if they haven't bought anyone and have to watch the pennies.
Fucking wankers, the lot of them. Know fuck all about football, let alone how the finances of clubs are run.

Some of them on there aren't THAT bad, considering. They do have their share of fuckwits though. Banging on about how much we spent. I wonder how much their likely starting XI tomorrow will have cost them? Oh; sorry. I totally forgot. They all moved there for nothing, to play for "TWGC". Silly me.

This outspending statement has been exaggerated. Everyone knows the more apples you buy at the same price the costlier it gets. Here's a quick breakdown

Our total spending since the takeover:
£1,133,600,000
on 67 players (of the 67 players, 10 were free. Of the 67 players, 15 were non first team prospects)

Cost per player overall : £16,919,400
Cost per first team player : £21,176,923
Cost per first team player (excluding free players) : £26,219,048

Their total spending since our takeover:
£775,900,000
on 46 players (of the 46 players, 7 were free. Of the 46 players, 13 were non-first team prospects (well, 12 + Bebe).

Cost per player overall: £16,867,392
Cost per first team player : £22, 642,424
Cost per first team player (excluding free players) : £28,738, 461

The reason why we spent more is simply because we bought more. We bought more because we were building a competing team from a mid-table team since 2009. Now that the boot is in the other foot and they have been mid table themselves, their spending has gone from 20m in 2009 to 145.5m, 103.6m, 149m and 146m in the last four years trying to play catch up.

Perspectives.
