It got pretty tasty around Wembley for that game. Before that it was a bit of a middling fixture. I would agree with your timelines Gord, it was never an all encompassing mutual hatred prior to these dates, the
perception that it's been going on since football began is a confected fallacy, exacerbated by the press.

must be very hard to take, you being overtaken by Mancini in 2 and half seasons. Your most successful manager, well maybe not in Europe, being seen of because he saw the writing on the wall. Eating through your sponsorship money before the terms up. Having to let Nike, or Adidas choose the players you sign. It is truly sad, that such a well loved club, that has acted with grace and reserve on every issue of its history, now has an aim of finishing in the top 4. I do understand, the shock at how quickly it happened. Just a quick one,what was the pull to support a team from another country and hundreds of miles away, like they are round the corner? The reason for asking is that where I sit, over the last 12 years, I've noticed and increase in the number of, what are they called,, oh "football tourists", have you noticed the same at OT?

Been doing catch up on a few threads this morning and his post made be bite.

Took the time to write that (started of calm, but......) and then a bit later I find he will not even see it because he is banned.

Oh well at least I vented

It was pre 1992 so didn't happen. It is convenient for them to forget that is City didn't help them out they would probably have folded.
