The thing about transfer fees is this.
When a club buys a key player for their team, they want to keep hold of him, so they put a release clause in the player's contract.
The release clause could be any amount and should act as a deterrent to potential buyers.
The ridiculous fee which PSG paid for Neymar was exceptional and unjustified.
I don't think that Barcelona , in their wildest imagination, expected another club to shell out so much for him.
From a personal point of view, I don't think that any player is worth anywhere near the amounts that are paid for them.
A couple of million should be enough for anybody!
Your " couple of million" is as arbitrary as £150 million. Why not a couple of hundred thousand or twenty thousand or 200 million for that matter.

Haha maureen has been banging on about this season not being a failure even if they don't win the cup and NEXT season as well as it depends on what we do,hanging on what we do who would have thought that would happen
hang on a minute didnt every pundit and media outlet tell us all (on peps arrival and our chances to win the prem ) that jose had the edge over Pep due to his past prem experience and he ALWAYS win the league in his 2nd season ........LOL

I find it quite funny that fans of the self proclaimed "biggest club in the world" are more concerned about lickle old City when they've just reached an FA Cup final.

They are also too self absorbed to notice that there has been a considerable power shift in Manchester and that they're not our main focus anymore. No offence lads but we've got bigger fish to fry these days.

I suppose ultimately who gives a fuck ? Who has all the money? Where does it come from? Who cares? We are now in the ascendant they are on the decline - their bitterness and denial is a source of comedic value but I really don't care I shall revel in the winning of games and trophies and the accrual of points in the understanding that out knuckle dragging neighbours just don't get it. They continue to value hoofball and bus parking. On the Caff tonight they question the value of 1000+ passes in a game - can't quite seem to grasp that whilst doing so we scored 5 goals and whilst we have the ball and pass it around the opposition don't have it so can't score against us. Simple basics of the game but I am well aware thats beyond the Trafford Neanderthals so why should we care???
