All 4 Latin-derived languages are, if you were fluent in one you could communicate (with difficulty) in the others. But bar Spanish/Portuguese, only in the way that English and German are.

Yeah, I know they’re pretty similar.

I can identify quite a few Spanish words with my rudimentary knowledge of the language through their French equivalents.

And, actually, there are five Latin-derived languages, as Romanian is also one.

I left Romanian out, as despite having a few words of it and good Portuguese, I wouldn't have a hope in hell of getting by in it. Think it's moved a lot further away from Latin and picked up too much of the Balkan and Slavic tongues.

Gaeilge (Irish) and Spanish/Portuguese have a surprising amount of similarities, so they must have picked up a fair amount of the old Gallic/Celtic languages as well.

Even stranger when you consider it likely wasn’t an accident and he is exactly that type of player.

No I’m not having it myself. You’re giving him too much credit to think that fast to go in on the player. He was in possession and was passing the ball. Only way that doesn’t happen is if doesn’t bother playing the ball anymore. Still a red but on this rare occasion I actually don’t think he meant it.

Couldnt be bothered watching it but its good to see that after having a successful playing career with the rags Rafael still goes to Old trafford to watch.
