For the first time in 52 years I watched them wanting them to win a game. It was like watching West Brom/Stoke/Burnley/Cardiff/Huddersfield/Fulham wanting them to win. You somehow hope they are not as bad as you think they are only to realise they are much worse. They are abysmal. Spending so much money and spouting so much cr@p to produce a team that is so inept really takes some doing. I hate myself for feeling some sympathy towards their glory hunting fans but I actually do, they've spent so many years spouting drivel they haven't got a clue what to talk about anymore, other than saying football is not as important to them anymore, they've got bigger priorities in life. Mourinho is absolutely killing them and some of them still haven't even realised it.

They're rationalizing that it's Mourinho taking them down, there's an element of him not evolving and being found out sure, but also they really are that bad. They're in for a reality check in two ways - first, their squad is objectively underwhelming, only De Gea would get into one of the top six teams's XI. Martial is a talent but he's probably gone, and Rashfrod might come good. That's it.

Also they think their name, the status and finances and history of Manchester United, will by itself save them. Let's see.

Funniest part of the afternoon for me - a scum supporting woman in her 50’s in my local, obviously had a few too many vinos, and when the scousers scored their second and quite a few of the guys in there were celebrating, she went around them all pointing in their faces calling them all “bin dippers” and taking great joy in explaining to them all that it was “because you all like robbing”.

Fucking hilarious.
