Well, that's it. The season's over. Finished. It was good being champions for the summer months, but all things come to an end. After their explosive start to the new season it's obvious the rags have it sewn up and the rest of us are just here to make up the numbers.

Ah well, if nothing else we'll get at least two chances to share the pitch with Maureen's Magical Marauders this season.


Just think, when they're old and grey and their playing days are long since over, our lads will be able to look themselves square in the mirror and proudly say: "Ok. I've won the Premier League, I've won the FA Cup, the League Cup, I've achieved so much in the domestic game. But all that pales into insignificance when I think I actually stood on the same pitch as Phil Jones. I've jostled for the ball with Rashford, and once I even stood quite close to Pogba".

Dont let anyone kid you, these fuckers will be up there as one of our main challengers again this season, they will bully the lower placed teams and can see them coming in with 80+ points again.

Watch With Mother wasn't a programme. It was a time slot called that, which included those programmes. You have however forgotten the best ones, Pogul's Wood and Noggin The Nog. Ah the memories.

When I were a nipper, Watch with Mother comprised of:
Monday - Picture Book
Tuesday - Andy Pandy
Wednesday - Bill and Ben
Thursday - Rag, Tag and Bobtail
Friday - the Woodentops.

All of which were far more entertaining than anything currently showing at the swamp.

Honestly Ric it's disheartening that when I kept saying it wasn't my prediction, you insisted it was. Even if ultimately I have no defense and can be argued to have been caught out linguistically, I'd say you were being unfairly dismissive and unsympathetic, especially when I know from reading your posts you've always been reasonable.
