Can anyone legitimately claim he has zero influence on signings? Can anyone imagine Mou agreeing to a contract at a club where that was the case even? He may have had to accept decisions would be ultimately made by committee regardless of his say but again, I think this is how most clubs are run
I always say this about Mourinho, he started out as an interpreter which is a media job and few are the puta jefe in the press room like he is. So I don't buy the claims that he has gotten nothing that he has wanted or been regularly blocked. I do believe however he is not getting everything he wants but the tarnish is long gone from his old successes - just as his tired formula has.
Plus, just as the Glazers didn't go into the agreement blindly neither did Mou if he had to cede a degree of control he is used to having in order to get the job he coveted. In the end however, most of the failures that Jose is facing now are predominantly his own doing. He sets the tone, dictates the lineups & tactics and attempts to foster harmony in the squad. Can't blame the Glazers or board for things that was up to no one but him. Board didn't throw players under the bus like he has and board didn't tell him to stick to his ridiculously antiquated tactics.
