Excellent spot about it being doctors from the hospital who treated them rather than doctors who treated them. It’s at the hotel football, as owned by Family Guy, the Neville’s, Butt and Scholes. The rags actually objected to the plans submitted by their ex-players saying it undermined the ‘holistic vision’ (oh how they laughed when City used that word) for its strategic plans for the area.
Also, the event details says ‘doctors from the hospital that treated the victims’ not doctors who treated the victims! Finally, it says fundraising dinner, with no mention of where any proceeds might be going. All sounds a bit ghoulish and a little bit sad.
On further investigation (it is 4.30am and I am wide awake!) I found this on the organisers website... www.munich58.co.uk
"2018 Gala Dinner: 23rd Nov
Enjoy a fundraising Gala Dinner Evening on the 23rd November 2018 at Hotel Football, Old Trafford in the company of The Red Docs of Munich who care for the Munich Memorial site at Manchesterplatz and a number of United legends"
So they are the doctors who take care of the memorial in Munich. As can be seen from that website, non of the money is raised for the families etc but to "keep the legacy of the disaster alive" (should the BBC and other media outlets decide not to remind everyone every year.....) and to inform new fans about the history of the club.
Check the mission statement out on the "about" section.
