The ideal situation for me would be the rags drawing every game other than the two derbies where they would get battered.

Mid table filth is a no brainer - have them take points off title rivals by all means.

The real question is which of these scenarios you favour:-

Champs City
Runners up Liv/Chel
17th Filth.

Or

Champs Liv/Chel
Runners up City
18th Filth

Being relegated would screw them for 10 to 20years.

That, in my view, is a very difficult choice.
It’s more of a thinker but again I’d take City as Champions. I would every single scenario you could could think of.

I enjoy watching united lose but not half as much as I enjoy watching a City win.

Not in so many words but how would you interpret someone wanting to see United fail sooner than City succeed?

Once, on any given matchday, after we have won and got the three points, I see no reason why a middle of the table team, be it Bournemouth, Burnley, Man United, Watford or even Leicester should not be congratulated for having beaten a close rival of ours

OK, never happen but what about this... going in to last game of season.

City away at Brighton, 3 points behind Chelsea but with superior goal difference.

United at home to Chelsea and need 3 points to have a chance of getting last CL spot.

Now who wants United to draw or lose ?

Should have spent more time working your brain rather than your chest then. :-)

Can’t blame anyone else for you not being able to interpret what has been said as anything other than they hate United more than they love City.

They’re literally saying that they’d rather our main title rivals picked up 3 points than have a situation where a mid table team who matter not a fucking jot, win.

My point is that no one has used those words,so to attempt to turn a debate in a direction that suits is nothing more than a tactic to stir the shit, again.

As Mr Contrary is well aware.

It's not a difficult choice at all, you'd seriously consider city not winning league just so they get religated. That is some serious bitter shit if you think that way and I wouldn't consider you a true city fan!

If people are saying they would rather United not win when they play Liverpool then yes they are saying that. They are saying they are that bitter that even though it would help us greatly they would rather United suffer more than us to gain. Any other game let them rot and lose by 10 but when they play Chelsea and Liverpool this season I hope they nick some results.

Nope, not true. Will not matter if Chelsea or Liverpool win or loose against the rags. The only thing that matters is City winning. So wanting the rags to get hammered is OK by me.

In a sport where we have seen the finest margins matter (winning a league on goal difference) it is madness to not want them to take points off our rivals. We can say it is in our own hands and it shouldn't/wouldn't matter but any help along the way is fine by me. If that means United picking up some points occasionally I can live with that.
