I can’t see Zidane working out. I know it’s nit as easy as this will sound, but give most people that Madrid squad and you’ll get a tune out of it. He’s not managed really, he’s simply been the figurehead of a squad of superstars who already knew their drill.

Give it to Zidane!

Zidane will bring no guarantee of success, I’ve heard that saying somewhere just can’t remember who said it.

I agree with this. Also inheriting a misfiring bunch of misfits with several well past their sell by date and several months before a transfer windows open, he may feel any managerial reputation he has could be suddenly scrutinised a little more deeply.

Other than for £££, why would any sane manager take the gig at this point in the season

Perhaps he knew something - ‘might as well be celtic’...
Actually meant... them!

Welcome to Trafford Brendan!

Fucking hell, imagine going into work, abusing everyone, publicly fighting with your co-workers, doing a shit job and making the company a laughing Stock and getting a £30mil pay off in return.

Football really is a world of its own

The thing is with Zidane is that a complete rebuilding job is needed at the swamp. Something he's never have to deal with. At Madrid it was already a experienced team. That helped them and him win the champions League as it was only 16 games. In La Liga his record wasn't great( he only win it once) and when it became clear the team needed freshing up he left. That team was built for the champions League. Over at the swamp it's a total mess

Thing is it will be hard for him to say no as their offer will probably make him the worlds best paid manager.

Who to believe? BBC. SSN or the Mirror?

I believe that Utd would be bound to unofficially deny the story when contacted by the press......they can hardly admit that yes the board have decided to fire him in advance of sacking him, but that's just interpretation.

Whatever, it was very very uncomfortable watching that Man Utd press conference on SSN. He looked absolutely gutted and broken. I bet you will see massive support for Mourinho at Old Trafford today.

Fuck that. He had the press pack in to start that at 8am because he’s a snide, bullying mard arse who has very little left to do but piss people off. Loads of people would have needed to get to work really early for that, totally unnecessary too given it lasted 3 minutes.
