If the angry comments from United fans on that promotion are typical then they are facing a real crisis. An organised boycott of their own sponsors by United fans would certainly get rid of the Glazers but it might take a few years of pain. I was told years ago by a business contact well connected at City that what really forced Swales out was a threatened boycott of Greenall's pubs by City fans. Greenalls were one of our largest sharholders at the time and put pressure on the board.
