United thread 2019/20

But, as in 'The Emperor's New Clothes', no one, (apart from us,) mentions it.
People love their football so much they put it to the back of their minds , it’s like a gambling addiction . The bias & corruption toward Liverpool & Utd is laughable it’s so obvious , it’s like different rules for them . Hands up who knew they’d get a pen ( or 2) to rescue them ?

Switched on Sky Sports News this morning to see this drunken Roy Keane reaction, cheered me up a bit to see him laying into them and Evra trying to cover for his mates, but honestly sky should just rename that channel as the Istree Channel and refund any Spurs fans their monthly fee. Pandering to the biggest fanbases shamelessly trying to get that feel of watching the game with your red mates, all in awe of the matchday atmosphere they've never experienced but love to use as a barometer to beat others with.

Evra and Keane analysing the game, heavily one sided for a start. United rescue a point, United's fault they didn't win, Pogba was great, Fernandes is the best midfielder in the world.

Spurs were 'ok' was the only mention they got in ten minutes I watched. They didn't show the penalty incidents either. Why? We know why. Showed Maguire getting outpaced I presume for the spurs goal, but stopped before anyone had a shot so I don't know for sure if that was the goal or not.

Embarrassingly biased. BBC aren't much better either, also running with the United rescue a point view. Which is pretty amazing seeming as though they were playing nobody at all, from what I can gather.

They can moan about illegal streams all they want, Saudi Arabia state piracy and blocking investment at Newcastle (whilst relaxing FFP for the cartel members benefit), but whilst our coverage over here remains so biased and unwatchable, they'll always be a market for a more fair football show experience. I just wish someone would figure that out, I'd happily pay for a more rounded service. I'm sure plenty of other fans of less important teams feel the same.

Saturday morning rant over. Just stinks how they're being shoehorned into Europe whilst the media blow sunshine up their arses to the point that other teams don't get a mention. Dirty red turdbaskets.

Anyone know why that **** wasn’t booked for diving?

I’ve not seen it but the reason will be something like - VAR do not and cannot get involved in yellow card offences. Their role is simply to determine if it was/was not a penalty. Now, if the ref was more involved I.e went over and looked at the monitor as per most other countries then maybe things would be be different

What is the story behind the breaks for drinking water?
Are the powers that be subtly trying to break the match up into 4 quarters like, say, American football?

Favouritism towards certain teams has obviously been going on for years but it's been notched up to a complete new level in the last couple of seasons. The mainstream coverage is pure unadulterated propaganda, of the sort that would make North Korea think they've gone a bit too far.

Liverpool and Man U's (what most of their fans call them) marketing / PR departments are either amazing or they don't actually have to do anything. Both of them know that honest coverage of the last 10 years or so would have led to a bit swing in 'customer' base, hence the reason for their coverage, as opposed to city's where everything is downplayed or negative.

Watching the game last night reminded me of La Liga when Real or Barcelona play some minnow and get all the decisions but there is no outcry over any of the injustices, just creaming over Ronaldo, or whoever. Spurs are just another Getafe, they accept their place; as one of the hateful 8 they should know that once they get in bed with the devil, they also have to suck his cock.

Good point, he’d have let the penalty stand ;-)

The Blades play them midweek as well. Be great if Sheff could win both.

The titanic battle for 5th, spent probably as much as City have since Fergie has gone. They still haven’t come anywhere near winning a league title. It was never outlined on the brochure when those massive rags from Cornwall, Ireland and Beijing signed up to support the greatest team in the world that it would end up like this.
