I once suggested that on here - but several people told me we have too much class for that and I had to agree.

I just hope they don't sack Ole - he is hopeless.

Yes that banner turned what was obviously a strong dislike into pure hatred for that club. It went beyond banter and the fact the club allowed it to stay there just fuelled the hatred even more. Don't forget we were light years behind them at the time and there was a good possibility it could have kept clocking up forever. Oh and didn't the media just love to remind us.

I'm a bit confused how the rag shitehouses that made that banner were never paid a visit and told to get rid.

A copy should be made and shown to new players as a brief history and put in the dressing room.before every derby.

If their drought continues a good compromise would be a banner saying, " We were going to start a countdown clock, but we have more class." Or similar.

Perhaps something non-permanent and not affiliated to Manchetser City F.C. one of those banners towed by a plane before every derby match perhaps?

It could be paid for by fans of a certain age. For most of my life the 1981 centenary FA Cup was the highlight of my football supporting life. (I was just a bit too young in 1976) oh I cried buckets in 2012 I have no problem admitting that - and my kids saw me! Ranked in order of importance: May 2012 Agureoooo, birth of son 2, birth of son 1 and my wife still gets annoyed when I tell her that.

It's called giving them a taste of their own medicine..

Or we could say: Not in my lifetime with a trophy count since those incoherent words were spoken by the old piss can?
