they didn't offer much at all tonight if you ask me. The commentators tried to talk it up as an even game but city controlled it. They only had any decent possession when you gave them the ball and you dropped off.

Martial is a terrible diver and fernandes was one of the worst players on the park. Giving the ball away constantly, skying shots, misplacing passes leading to counter attacks. My favourite was in stoppage time in the first half when he messed up a relatively simple pass which would have put rashford in on goal. Overrated ****. Kdb showed who the far better player is. Its a typical fernandes performance just not covered up with an assist or a penalty. I hope they continue to pin their hopes on him.

The martial dive was pathetic and I can't believe he wasn't carded for it.

Since the introduction of VAR with penalty checks bookings for simulation seem to have stopped. For me var should be used for bookings for diving too. It can be done with zero stoppage, ref gets a call in his ear and books him at the next break in play. He cheated very poorly and nothing will be bad of it. Disgusting.

I actually don't think they were that bad tonight. They were far better than when PSG and RB Leipzig embarrassed them.
