Altough it does say that there are some merits to the argument that they do not need to win trophies. Olly emphasis that united are making progress because they are near the top of the league or reaching quarter finals. That's good enough for me and hopefully everybody else too.

I was surprised Leicester won, after all they spent the entire match falling over laughing. They couldn't believe Fred was still on the pitch after trying, and finally succeeding, to set a goal up for them. 3 times in the first 25 minutes!!!!!!!

I heard Fred had signed for Leicester in January but hasn't actually told anyone yet.

Yep. Exactly this. Ferguson used that moment on the team bus apparently to tell them to come ready for training next year. Pep did something similar before the Liverpool game last year after they'd won the league. No one in that United dressing room is saying "think about the pain of getting second, and use that to win next year". Second is as good it gets for that manager and that team, and they're thrilled with it.

I'm going to have to correct you there, he came on and actually played a big part in turning a 1-2 deficit into a 1-3 deficit.
