Agreed. They're where they are because of a shit ton of dodgy decisions, penalties and the fact that both Liverpool and Chelsea are below par. Hell, West Ham are in contention for the CL place and Leicester have one almost sewn up. That's how badly some of the usual suspects are doing this year.

Chelsea are far more likely to be a title threat next season. I think they're a couple of signings from challenging and actually have a record of making those signings. And obviously Liverpool have a team that could potentially bounce back to something like previous levels with some good signings. The rags are overachieving this year.

Exactly, Liverpool won't be as bad as they have been this season, Chelsea look to be improving too. The Rags have overachieved most games they have been awful to watch, The amount of times opposition were 1-0 up and fluffed chances to double the lead against them this season is unreal.
I can't see them spending too much money. Most importantly Solskjaer will still be in charge, Slabhead will still be captain and a regular starter, Wan-Bissaka is like bambi on ice running with the ball, Fred and McTominay start basically every game so expect them to start regularly next season, Bailly signed a new contract so they obviously don't plan to buy a centre half, They want to keep a 35 year old striker so they don't have to but a striker. The list is endless. They won't win any Premier League title with paperboy in charge and certainly won't win it whilst Pep is in charge of City.

As we've said before "It's not a gap, It's a canyon".

So long as we win the chumps league I’d actually quite like them to win the no-ropa league. It’d be great to overshadow any win they do by winning something better - like they have done to us in the past. Tables turned and all that :)
Like last time we won a European cup. Relegated to a couple of paragraphs inside the back page.

I think they are more than 2 or 3 signings away to being anywhere near us, I think that's a crazy comment to make to be honest. What if we make another 2 or 3 signings? Will we be even further ahead of them in the next few years... Yes they might beat us now and again in the league, But we are on a different planet football terms. Solskjaer will NEVER finish ahead of Pep in the Premier League EVER.
We were sitting 14th in what September time, Yet they took 4 points off us and we are still 10 points clear of them, On top of already having a trophy, Close to the title and Semi Finals of the biggest European competition, All whilst they are playing shitty Thursday night clubs that would be fighting relegation in the Premier League.

2 or 3 players?? 2 or 3 decades and that's being generous.
I totally agree my comment was more to do with the poster bigging them up. We will not stand still I agree but hecseemed frightened about the 3 signings they would make. Hell they could sign Kev, Mahrez and Stones and still be behind, mainly because Noddy would have Kev in nets and Walker and Mahrez switching roles

I was meant to put the other persons quote in the reply too. I was agreeing with your post sorry if it didn't come across that way, My mistake not including the post you replied to.

Haha exactly you could give paperboy all the best players across europe it would still count for fuck all. As long as he is in charge their will be no panic.

Hahahaaaa anyone saying that united are 2 or 3 signings away from ourselves is sheer lunacy

Listen the tell tale sign in all this, is in the games that really count. The games when the pressure is on, and united have been beaten in all those games

The media will lap this up but only because they can sell/generate clicks from the idiots who think that they are still going somewhere under OGS - he is a boardroom muppet on strings. He is there because he holds very little authority in terms of asking for funds from the board - something a manager of a higher level would demand in order to get them challenging

Keep him at the wheel for a long time I say, they are riding a small crest of a wave in what has been a very condensed season and has made them where they currently find themselves.

Chelsea, liverpool will be stronger next season - united will struggle to make top four

thats my prediction for next season
I agree about Chelsea being stronger next season, but I’m not sure about Littlewoods.

As has already been discussed, Klippety has an ageing squad to motivate, and if reports are true, it seems that the owners are reluctant to loosen the purse strings to help him rebuild.

Little cutie isn't he! Is that your lad?
Grandson. Fourth generation Blue in dynasty starting off in the 1920s with.my dad although his older brother took him walking from Angel Meadow to Maine Road possibly even Hyde Road. So nearly a hundred years unbroken support. Great to hear him say 'Grandad' and 'Come on you Blues' :)

The other thing is how well City improve, we’ve played an entire season without a striker. I don’t think it’s by design neither, I’m sure Pep would have wanted to pick a fully fit Sergio all season, we buy a striker and Sterling gets his form back that’s a lot of extra goals weighing in. I think this City team can improve and this is a transitional season of Pep rebuilding, we haven’t done bad 6 points off winning the league, a league cup and reached the semis of the champions league and Fa cup.
And hopefully, some of the Academy lads - Tommy, Cole, Liam and maybe one or two others - will be pressing for a place in the squad, making us stronger without having to lose any of the current group, as they have been at the club for more than two years, but are under 21.

Wow that's a real story of the blues if ever I've heard one right there
Does that mean if you have a moan in your post we can call you grandad? :)

A club with their budget should be embarrassed and ashamed to even be in that competition. It’s literally a participation trophy for big club failures, you have to be bad enough to be in it. Not seen much mention of the relative cost of the teams they’ve faced either

For the fuckwits to be embarrassed, they would need to have a modicum of self-awareness, an ingredient totally lacking from their entire make-up
