I was vehemently against the whole idea of us signing the rag **** and now hearing about his wages just makes me doubly glad he has gone to the rags. It shows the complete desperation that they have signed a player they were never planning on signing just to stop us getting him and now have a 36 year old with the highest wages in the league. He may score a few goals for them but he isn't the game changer that will win them the league.
Agree, I didnt want him, just like united fans would not have wanted Kompany or Zabba, you know their heart would not be on it.

I read hes on a 2 year contract.

I hate the twat but hes a great player, not sure he will be touching 40.

They are all overhyped but he has far better technical and physical attributes than the others on your list. Almost completely ambidextrous and lots of pace.

Goal return stats are much better too.
Fode. I agree. Unfortunately, he is a fantastic prospect. I know that City tried to entice him over to gods side every year for years when he was younger. If his path is not blocked for too long by the OAPs he could become a success sooner than some posters on here think.
Obviously only my personal view, but I rate him a lot more than Rashford who is ridiculously overhyped.

United getting some stick in the press and media this morning. Neville having a go at the owners! etc.

What is this glorious past he is referring to?

Stay off the coolade spawn of Hilda.........

Just had a count up of their squad.
When ronaldo signs, he will be the 29th player aged over 21 they have.
That means if they don't move them on, they are going to have 4 players sat around not able to play in league or champions league games getting paid for doing sod all.
They can name separate squads, so some miss out on CL and some on PL

Am I only one who doesn't rate Greenwood?

In 5 years he'll be added to the list of Macheda, Gomes, James Wilson and every other massively overhyped attacker that went nowhere.
How dare you question the abilities of the next starlet of the United youth conveyor belt of talent.

This is the fabled academy that has produced names such as, Cleverly, Gibson, Prunier, Chadwick and Macheda.............

We’ll see… you don’t just replace a manager like guardiola over night, we’ve learnt that when Fergie retired.
Quite different cases. SAF is a control freak who demands to be in charge of everything, even wrote a book based on it. Result was when he retired, especially as the CEO left at the same time, there was nobody there with experience who knew what to do. So he is still calling the shots from the boardroom.
City have a management team with a powerful DOF and i expect the handover to be smooth.
And you should have learnt the lesson a long time ago: a control freak manager retired and the club fell apart. You even called him back! Busby was the name.

boy i would love a wolves win today just to see them at stretford paddock trying to put the spin and twist of the result.. they have already banked 3 easy point today and even a high scoring win ??

1. The Glazers had to protect the United brand.
2. The Glazers have to continue appeasing the Green and Golds.
3. Sign Ronaldo.
4. Job done.

spot on the green and gold till were sold will forget all the meaning and principles for the sack of 3 points

He reminds me of other young English attacking players who burst on to the scene as teenagers (Walcott, Agbonlahor, Lennon, etc) who made an immediate impact because of their pace, youthful enthusiasm, and unpredictability factor, with defenders being caught by surprise. However as they grew older, their game stayed pretty much the same, defenders wised up, and they never kicked on and ended up stagnating. Greenwood has made a great start, but he could easily go the same way.

I think united fans having a chuckle at City fans getting excited about the putative signing of Ronaldo is fair game, as much as City fans laughing at united fans calling him Judas, as many of them did.

The serious laughter, however, should be reserved for those united fans who were protesting about their owners a few short months ago whose silence has now been bought, despite this purchase being in those owner’s best commercial interests and cementing their ownership of the club.

Absolute fucking mugs. Played like a fucking fiddle.
In a nutshell.

Masterstroke? It's getting back with your cheating ex who hasnt aged well, put on a load of weight and picked up an unhealthy drinking and smoking habit all because she was flirting with your best mate. It's not what you needed or wanted but you can't bare the thought of them two together so you feel you have to. Oh and it's cost you a fortune to pay off her tab with her dealer.
Great analogy, Mr Ninja.
