No wonder he wasn’t in our plans!
I thought that’s what most of their squad did anyway.Just had a count up of their squad.
When ronaldo signs, he will be the 29th player aged over 21 they have.
That means if they don't move them on, they are going to have 4 players sat around not able to play in league or champions league games getting paid for doing sod all.
Somebody should have warned them that he’ll never win them the Super Bowl!Good to hear that some are now reporting there capture of ronaldo for what it is....
- romance signing
- not moving forward
- living on past glories
- biggest wage ever in the premier league
Ornstein on SSN has just discussed the same thing
Apparently the glazers were told that he is the football Tom Brady, they are going to hope that this signing will reep the rewards and trophies
I believe they best get ready for a a disappointment : )
What they haven't realised is that it worked for tevez because he came directly from them to us and the welcome to Manchester was a dig at them not being from Manchester
There are constant contradictions from that bunch of cretins and the irony seems to be forever lost on them.I think united fans having a chuckle at City fans getting excited about the putative signing of Ronaldo is fair game, as much as City fans laughing at united fans calling him Judas, as many of them did.
The serious laughter, however, should be reserved for those united fans who were protesting about their owners a few short months ago whose silence has now been bought, despite this purchase being in those owner’s best commercial interests and cementing their ownership of the club.
Absolute fucking mugs. Played like a fucking fiddle.
A player we never had any intention of signing in the first place.I was vehemently against the whole idea of us signing the rag **** and now hearing about his wages just makes me doubly glad he has gone to the rags. It shows the complete desperation that they have signed a player they were never planning on signing just to stop us getting him and now have a 36 year old with the highest wages in the league. He may score a few goals for them but he isn't the game changer that will win them the league.
11 years on, and it’s still hurting them.
PR stunt by the #Bantz wankers at Lad Bible. Absolute tossers, a lad I know makes a point of pissing all over their office doors and handles every time he visits the Northern Quarter at night
Exactly. What they haven't realised is that it worked for tevez because he came directly from them to us and the welcome to Manchester was a dig at them not being from Manchester
This all appears to be backfiring for them, I've never seen so much criticism of them by their beloved press.Welcome to Unitedland! With an array of nostalgic installations and familiar faces, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Gawp at the scorer of the winning goal from the 1999 Champions League in his very own technical area! Gaze on the goalscorer from the 2008 Champions League final grazing just outside the penalty area! Even the roof has that retro feel! Season tickets start at just £532.

Cristiano Ronaldo held Juventus back: just what do Manchester United see in him? | Jonathan Wilson
Returning superstar will certainly score goals, but his chief use at Old Trafford will be as a celebrity content providerwww.theguardian.com
It's hardly hidden info that they had the chance to sign him all summer, and they kept turning him down until City moved in and they became pride stricken.United getting some stick in the press and media this morning. Neville having a go at the owners! etc.

They hold up banners saying things like “YOUR PLAYERS MAKE MONEY, OUR PLAYERS MAKE HISTORY”, when our wage bill has always been lower than theirs and we’ve won more trophies than them in the last decade. United pay their goalkeeper as much as we pay our top earner (de Bruyne), yet de Gea still feels the need to steal doughnuts from the supermarket.
They’ve spent years whinging that City and our owner’s investment is ruining football (despite City being completely self-sufficient now). Yet they were saved from going out of business twice through owner investment, without owner investment there would be no Manchester United; they built the most expensive football team ever assembled at the time in the late80s/early90s after going a ¼ of a century without winning the league through owner investment; they have spent more on their squad in both wages and transfer fees than anyone else in English football in the last decade; and they have spent years scriking their eyes out that their owner doesn’t invest in their football club and their stadium and training grounds aren’tas good as City’sup to scratch.
So do they want owners to spend money on football clubs or not? Because their message is very unclear!
They claim to love their football club yet broke into their own stadium and caused thousands of pounds of criminal damage: breaking doors down, smashing windows, breaking lifts, breaking equipment, stealing equipment… from their own club!
They only ever protest about their owner when they aren’t winning anything. They protested about him taking over in 2005, then protested after not winning anything in 2010, and protested after four years of not winning anything this Summer… but the protests were absent when they won three Prems in a row and a CL in the late 00s, there were no protests around their Prem winning years of 2011 and 2013, and their protests have stopped now they’ve spent a load of money and pushed their wage bill up even higher at the start of this season.
How fucking insecure can you get?! All the glory hunters they’ve accumulated over the years who only support the cunts because they were winning stuff, can’t handle it when they aren’t winning things. Imagine if they ever match or beat Manchester’s longest ever trophy drought of 37 years without a trophy (which is theirs, by the way!) - they’d burn Old Trafford down so there was no club left, and all shuffle off to SC United Manchester or Salford City or whatever copycat club they make up next, just to pretend the drought wasn’t happening.
And now they should always remember, deep down, that their Golden Boy wanted City and they had to pull out all the stops from ex-managers, players, and astronomical wages to get him to change his mind… but he wanted City!
