You see, you’ve just bought into their bullshit. We know they are wank, but the bottom line is they finished second last year and signed Varane, Ronaldo and Sancho. So they have fuck all excuse to be so shit. Believe me there wasn’t a rag in the land that didn’t think they were a threat for the league after the first few games, I had to listen to endless shit from my rag supporting mates.
You are right that every united fan in the world believed in they were going to challenge for the title.

Maybe Keane was the only one who thought otherwise or maybe he's just bullshitting now.

But Keane is still right that even with those new players they are miles away.

They might have finished 2nd but pointwise they weren't close atall.

The Rags are absolutely shocking. The money pumped into that squad on top of the biggest wage bill in europe and they still turn up at Chelsea with 3 holding midfielders and didn't have any sort of spell in the game which they had Chelsea on the ropes.
Tyler made me laugh today when Sancho scored he came out with "Sancho really looking like a Man United player now". He barely got a kick of the ball for the entire game.
As for Chelsea, They'll be up around the top just because they are good defensively and a tough side to beat, Not very pretty on the eye but they'll grind out results. Way off footballing terms compared to City and Dippers. Sooner the better Lukaku is back starting they are worse with him in the side.

Played better. Worked hard. Scored from a Chelsea player mistake.

Thank you for reading the United match report.

Its easy to have the opinion with hindsight, you could though scroll back through this thread back to Aug/Sept and you’d see loads on here who thought that the scum were a big threat this season.

Chelsea have a £90m, 30 goal a season striker they haven't quite integrated yet, it would be foolish to write them off just yet.

Tuchel will get Lukaku going and when he does their attack will be much more effective.
But, very one dimensional when he plays. Easy for good teams to deal with - but in the Premier League, that's only City, Liverpool and maybe 1 or 2 others who will get lucky on their day.

Agree. Chelsea always feel they have to go through Lukaku when he starts, It's easier for teams to deal with Chelsea when Lukaku plays. Reece James and Ben Chilwell have been their go to men since Lukaku has been injured. When Lukaku is back in many ways it will cut out Chelsea's wing backs having an influence in the game.
As many times as I watch Lukaku I still don't see it with him, He's a donkey.

You have got to laugh at our media.

Within a few days a manager who is out in the backwaters of Russian football and unheard of is the most wanted bloke in world football, a visionary, the man who invented tactics, a footballing brain above all the rest, a guy who will get the best out of players, improve them………………………….
That classic fantasy publication "Roy of the Rovers" is in print again.
