xG is the Expected Goals statistic. It's a bit in depth but it can essentially predict how many goals you'd expect a team to score or concede based on the chances that they had. So a penalty has a high xG whereas a 50 yard shot has a low xG.

The graph above charts each teams average xG. Or basically it shows how many goals they have been expected to score and concede per game. It's not a perfect system but it's just a bit of information that you can use to support a point. It tries to think about perfect scenarios with no luck or form involved.

In the graph there's a face of Conte. That shows that in his management time, Spurs have created the chances to score similar amount of goals to what City have this season and have had stopped the opposition creating chances to about the same level as City and Liverpool.

The axis on the left is conceded, lower is better. The bottom axis is scored, more to the right is better.

Reminds me of the time that United fan "Jim from Dublin" e-mailed Sky Sports News to say "City fans should stick to following their local team - Stockport"

Not trying to start a flamewar. Just legitimately worried. Hear me out before you get all up in arms. Our problem is club ownership. Not temporal thing that can be fixed in several years, not a bad manager, not bad squad, or any of that. We have club ownership that has proven to be absolutely...

I remember a Scottish rag, on 606, complaining that City had no English players in the team.
